MeiZui
Whisky Umeshu
MeiZui blends naturally fermented yellow plums harvested at 80% ripeness in Xinyi Township, Taiwan, with Japanese whisky. Plum acidity and whisky's woody body unfold in one glass.
Overview
A balanced whisky umeshu begins with a clean plum base. Whisky then adds wood, grain and length. MeiZui ferments yellow plums into base wine to develop flavor beyond the surface aromas of steeping.
Ripe yellow plum acidity opens first, followed by the whisky's woody structure in the mid-palate. The finish lends itself to neat pours, drinks over ice and highballs.
